The Sustainability Committee is hosting a workshop on Setting SMART Sustainability Goals for Businesses and Organizations in May.


This meeting aims to provide valuable insights on how companies can establish Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals for their sustainability initiatives. Join this workshop to learn the importance of aligning sustainability goals with broader business objectives, strategies for engaging stakeholders and employees, and approaches to setting realistic yet ambitious goals for meaningful change. Gain insights from real-world examples of successful SMART goals and their impact on organizational success, as well as methods for monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.


The workshop will be facilitated by Frederick Blancas, Lecturer on Sustainability at Ateneo de Manila University. Frederick's presentation focuses on Creating Shared Value (CSV) and offers a discussion on the different stages of sustainability, helping attendees understand where their company currently stands. He will lead a session on the three ways of implementing CSV, providing practical insights on how to advance sustainability initiatives within your organization. The workshop aims to enhance the audience's understanding of sustainability, fostering a shift toward a new business mindset that combines doing good with doing well. Attendees will gain a commitment to create shared value and contribute to building a better world.


The workshop will take place on 29 May 2024 from 3:30–6:00 PM at Spaces PNB Makati Center. This event offers a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to start or improve their sustainability agendas, with practical strategies and frameworks you can apply directly within your company.


The NordCham Sustainability Committee offers a platform to discover fresh insights and find inspiration for your sustainability initiatives. If you are not currently a NordCham member, joining is free of charge. However, participation requires approval from the NordCham team.
