In 'If You're in a dogfight, Become a Cat', Leonard Sherman draws on four decades of experience in management consulting, venture capital and teaching business strategy at Columba to share practical advice on two if the most vexing issues facing business executives: why is it so hard to achieve long- term profitable growth, and what can companies do to break away from the pack?


Part 1: Case stories of companies and organisations who have broken away from the pack.

Part 2: Tools to achieve long=term profitable growth in your company.


The #BusinessLectureSeries is a bi-weekly Business Lecture session that provide NordCham members a unique opportunity to learn about some of the most interesting business books – and to briefly discuss the content and its applicability to your own business. And you don't even have to read the book. At the end of the lecture there will be a chance to discuss the book and the presentation, and here all participants are welcome to join in.The concept is quite simple:

  • One hour format
  • Learn in a quick and simple way
  • Gain new insights and acquire new relevant business knowledge
  • Focus on knowledge you can use in your work environment
  • Business insights that can inspire and help you to move forward

The format is quite strict. Out of respect of your time, all lectures will start exactly on time and will end 60 minutes later.



Lecturer: Asger Daugbjerg, living and working in Singapore is a Danish businessman and experienced lecturer. He has started and today runs two companies in Singapore: IME Singapore is a business course provider, and MiD is a business consultancy specializing in helping companies with their business strategy, innovation and marketing activities.


Asger is already doing similar business lectures for the Danish Business Association, the Norwegian Business Association as well as DutchCham in Singapore. He also used to a arrange of lectures to the European Chamber of Commerce.


Asger holds a M.Sc. degree from Copenhagen Business School, and a MBA degree from Henley Management College in the UK. Furthermore, he has completed various programs at Singapore University of Social Sciences, Wharton Business School as well as Yale University.
