In light of increasing activity and international attention for Offshore Wind in the Philippines, NIRAS and the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines are excited to extend an invitation for a comprehensive Philippines Wind Energy Forum on the 3rd of October 2023. This daylong event will include direct input and information from key players in both the public sector valuable to an array of industry stakeholders.

Starting with an update on the status of OSW Development in the Philippines from the Department of Energy, and a grid update from NGCP, the workshop will be part of a key discussion towards building a successful and sustainable OSW industry in the Philippines. Event discussions will highlight topics across the project lifecycle for OSW projects including insight on EIA/EISA processes and permitting for OSW by NIRAS. A supply chain and technology outlook by Blue Water Shipping, discussion on layouts and challenges in bringing down LCOE and planning of WS by NIRAS, Considerations for financing (ESIA, EKF) by BDO, and a Training and Upskilling panel discussion with the Ambassadors of Denmark and Norway in the Philippines, Wind Association, and The Norwegian Training Center.

The workshop will also include specific project updates and accompanying panel discussions from international and domestic project owners active in the Philippines, as well as designated periods for networking and personal discussion.
