How time flies and the Holiday Season is fast approaching!

We at NordCham Philippines want to continue the tradition of celebrating the season with Business Partners and friends. That is why we are organizing A Jule Celebration - an online eat-together event to celebrate with fellow Business Partners and friends on 11 December 2021, 5:30 PM. We will have a fun time online with games, singing, and a raffle while you enjoy your Jukeboxes in the comfort of your homes.

We have partnered once again with Scandinavian Gourmet to offer you a great selection of Nordic dishes which you can accompany with a bottle of wine - or two!

Companies can order these boxes as gifts for their customers and let them join in the festivities online. See below what's in a Julebox and also choose your add-on drinks. Oh, and don't forget to buy your raffle tickets for a chance to win some great prizes, including Turkish Airlines tickets and a Sofitel Voucher, and help support the SOS Children's Villages Philippines.

During this holiday season, we ask for your donations on behalf of the Children of SOS Children's Villages Philippines by pledging support through this link:

Make A Donation to SOS Children's Villages Philippines

SOS Children's Villages is a private, non-political, non-denominational organization that provides family-like care to children in need. With the support of our friends and partners, we work to ensure that each child will grow up in a loving home.

In 1949, Hermann Gmeiner founded the first SOS Children's Village in Tyrol, Austria. He was a child welfare worker, and he saw how children suffered and were left orphaned as a result of World War II. He pioneered the family-like approach to helping children who have lost parental care.

Today, they are located in 134 countries and territories around the world. The 571 SOS Children's Villages are home to most of the approximately 86,000 children and young adults in our family-like care program. They also work in the communities to provide support and intervention to families at risk of breaking down. More than 467,000 people participate in their family strengthening programs.

In the Philippines, the first SOS Children's Village was founded on May 1, 1967, in the province of Batangas. Now they have 8 villages spread across the country, and there are almost 1,000 children and young adults who live under their care. In the communities, they give support and intervention to approximately 5,600 families.

Their approach to the long-term family care of orphaned and abandoned children is based on four principles:

CHILD: Every child is unique and respected

Recognise children's potential, guiding and accompanying them on their path to becoming independent and contributing members of their society.

PARENT: Every child needs a caring and stable parent

Work to ensure that children can experience a reliable relationship with a caregiver based on love, respect, and security.

FAMILY: Every child grows up in a supportive family

Support families to stay together. If children cannot grow up with their family of origin, we support them to form lifelong bonds in an alternative family environment while ensuring that siblings stay together.

COMMUNITY: Every child is part of a safe and supportive community

Assist families to connect across their community, share experiences, support one another and work together.
