Description: 'The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team' by Patrick Lencioni as part of the new #BusinessLectureSeries.

Lencioni tells the fable of a woman who, as CEO of a struggling Silicon Valley firm, took control of a dysfunctional executive committee and helped its members succeed as a team.

Lencioni offers explicit instructions for overcoming the human behavioural tendencies that he says corrupt teams (absence of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability and inattention to results). This book offers some great insights on the importance of strong team work, and how to build a stronger team.

The #BusinessLectureSeries is a bi-weekly Business Lecture session that provide NordCham members a unique opportunity to learn about some of the most interesting business books – and to briefly discuss the content and its applicability to your own business. And you don't even have to read the book. At the end of the lecture there will be a chance to discuss the book and the presentation, and here all participants are welcome to join in.The concept is quite simple:

  • One hour format
  • Learn in a quick and simple way
  • Gain new insights and acquire new relevant business knowledge
  • Focus on knowledge you can use in your work environment
  • Business insights that can inspire and help you to move forward

The format is quite strict. Out of respect of your time, all lectures will start exactly on time and will end 60 minutes later.
