First, it was the NCR Plus bubble. Then it was decided, that the NCR Plus bubble (Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, and Laguna) will be in Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) status again from 29 March to 4 April.

This was due to an increase again in COVID-related cases in these areas, hospitals have been at capacity, and record numbers of cases recorded. This move was to help stop the further transmission of the virus.
